The Summit of the Future is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to enhance cooperation on critical challenges and address gaps in global governance, reaffirm existing commitments including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the United Nations Charter, and move towards a reinvigorated multilateral system that is better positioned to positively impact people’s lives.
In keeping with the vision of a more networked and inclusive multilateralism enshrined in Our Common Agenda, the Secretary-General has underscored the importance of engaging diverse stakeholders from across the full spectrum of society.
The UNDRR Stakeholder Engagement Mechanism (SEM) is hosting this briefing, to enhance the knowledge among stakeholders about the summit, and to more effectively engage collectively. The UNDRR New York Lission Office will also attend to share their engagement and expectations of the Summit.
