The preparation of the IPCC Special Report represents an unprecedented opportunity to bring the world’s attention to accumulated knowledge and experience in reducing and managing disaster risk. At this event, the IPCC representatives will explain the IPCC’s process for preparing the IPCC Special Report on Managing the Risks of Extreme Events and Disasters to Advance Adaptation, including the process for nominating authors and submitting information for assessment. The IPCC seeks, in particular, regional balance for case studies and information on drought management.
