Description
Building resilience to disasters and climate change has become a growing concern and has attracted the attention of Parliamentarians around the world. Parliamentarians have played an important role in advancing this agenda through various institutional frameworks at local, national and international levels.
This meeting continues UNISDR’s high-level advocacy programme to engage parliamentarians in disaster risk reduction through information-sharing. The meeting will identify challenges and opportunities in further engaging parliamentarians in making disaster risk reduction a tool for climate change adaptation.
