Booth 16: Views from the Frontline

Description

With over 5000 participants in 31 countries, 'Views from the Frontline' is largest and first survey of its kind to assess progress towards the objectives of the Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA) at the local level. Results show a disconnection between progress on preparing policies and plans at country level and the practical reality of implementation at the frontline. The Marketplace booth is shared with the Characteristics of a Disaster Resilient Community – a resource which provides a vision for what a community should look like if all of the HFA actions are carried out to the grass roots level.
