Booth 8: Disaster Risk Reduction Tools & Training in Africa

Description

Sharing experience from Africa: the University Network for Disaster Risk Reduction in Africa (UNEDRA) will present its collaborative research and training programmes aimed at enhancing capacity development on disaster risk reduction through joint university efforts; IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC), a specialized Institution of Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) serving 10 countries in the Greater Horn of Africa in providing climate risk reduction information and early warning services, will showcase climate hazard maps, monitoring and early warning products, and tools in reducing sector-specific climate risk.
