El “Sistema de Información de Alerta” fue creado por el consejo directivo del Indotel para facilitar al Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE) informar a la ciudadanía sobre situaciones de catástrofes utilizando los servicios telefónicos o de difusión en todo el país.
