This report gives an overview of the 3rd International South-South Citizenry-Based Development Academy (3rd SS CBDA) that was held from 22-26 November 2010 in the Bicol Region, Philippines. The theme was “Harmonization of Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation at the Local and Community Level: Learning from Good Practices in Community Resilience”. The primary aim of the SS CBDA is to provide capacity development support to organizations and personnel engaged in citizenry-based development-oriented (CBDO), disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation (CCA) initiatives in the Asia Pacific region, as well as inter-regionally.
