Report on effectiveness: Swiss development cooperation in the agricultural sector 2010
This report renders an account of the manner in which state funds for development cooperation are used. It expresses the increased focus of Swiss development cooperation on effectiveness and provide important points of reference for the further development of development cooperation activities. It highlights the increasing importance of the implementation of disaster preparedness and prevention programmes in order to achieve a lasting reduction in the population's vulnerability.
The report divides the results into four thematic areas: (i) Production and productivity; (ii) Trade policy frameworks; (iii) Producer-to-consumer value chains; and (iv) Food crises, which seeks to combat malnutrition and helps improve food security through disaster risk reduction and crisis prevention measures.
