Viet Nam: $30m aid sought for humanitarian work

Viet Nam needed US$30 million to carry out 53 humanitarian projects till 2015, Red Cross general secretary Doan Van Thai said in Ha Noi yesterday, according to a Viet Nam News report. Red Cross chairman Tran Ngoc Tang said the humanitarian projects would focus on key priorities of the society, including disaster prevention, social work and supporting the poor, disabled and Agent Orange victims.
