Jamaica to share expertise in disaster risk management

The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) is offering its extensive knowledge and experience in disaster risk management to other countries in the region, as reported by the Jamaica Information Service.

"We’re looking at an opportunity to create synergies and build capacity for regional response. It also strengthens your own capacity at the national level," stated Ronald Jackson, Director General of ODPEM, noting that the country is quite equipped and prepared to train others.
