Innovative tsunami & flood shelter system to be funded by the crowds

PR Newswire reports that on the 26th of December, a crowdfunding for the STATIM (Storm, Tornado And Tsunami Interconnected Modules) Shelter System began. The STATIM Shelter System is seen as a novel disaster preparedness technology. It can provide a water-tight environment with positive buoyancy and self-righting capability. Inside, the shelters are equipped with secure seating for an average of 50 occupants, and various options of survival supplies capable of sustaining the occupants during and after an event.
