In the wake of the latest eruption of Mount Kelud volcano in East Java, Jonatan A. Lassa, a research fellow with the Centre for Non-Traditional Security at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University in Singapore calls for an improved early warning system, disaster risk communication procedures and better disaster risk management in Indonesia.
