Gambia: Stakeholders urged to mainstream DRR, CCA in development planning

The permanent secretary, Office of the Vice President of Gambia has urged stakeholders to integrate disaster risk reduction (DRR) And climate change adaptation (CCA) in their sustainable development planning, reports the Daily Observer. PS Nyabally was talking at a consultation meeting organized by the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) in collaboration with NATCOM, and funded by UNESCO under its Capacity Building and awareness Creation on DRR and CCA project. He also referred to the Hyogo Framework for Action and highlighted the importance of resilience building.
