Description

Compressed soil on forest slopes is one of the main reasons for floods, droughts, drying up of watercourses and forest areas, and decreasing groundwater levels. As a consequence of the uncontrolled growth of compressed areas on slopes, countryside is drained, fertile soil is eroded, land heats up due to lack of water, ultimately resulting in global warming. Solutions to stop this trend will be presented and their applicability in other countries discussed.
