Description
The side event will provide the opportunity to discuss about innovative approaches to capacity development and lessons learned from practice which will be presented by UNDP’s Capacity Development Group and CADRI. Participants will be able to increase their understanding about how capacity development applies to the field of disaster risk reduction, as for example in the case of DRR-focused capacity assessment, and share their own experience in this area.
The side event will be jointly organized by the Capacity for Disaster Reduction Initiative (CADRI) and the Capacity Development Group (CDG) based in UNDP’s Bureau for Development Policy. Both CADRI and CDG focus their daily work on capacity development initiatives and the side event will focus on sharing experience, knowledge and information about capacity development in relation to disaster risk reduction.
