Special Mixed Course on Disaster Risk Management

As part of our capacity building efforts, Gravitazz Institute invites all interested candidates to participate in our Short Training Courses!

The Short Training Courses have been developed by outstanding professionals and academics in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction, Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation using the most up-to-date methodology and training methods. Driven by our motto that we are all grounded in our own African reality, we always strive to bring at the table practitioners and researchers coming from African countries or with a proven long-expertise on the African Continent.

Be advised that registrations are currently open for a specially packaged mixed course opened from the 24 to the 26 of July 2017.

Who should attend

The courses included in the package are aimed at Disaster Risk Reduction professionals and practitioners from the public and private sectors, young graduates, as well as anyone with a professional interest in DRR and other related matters.

The course package will comprise the following modules:

  • Introduction to Disaster Management
  • Information Management for Decision Making in Disasters and Humanitarian Emergencies
  • Strategic Disaster Risk Planning and Management

Fee information

The course fee of $800 per participant covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments, lunch, and study visits. All participants will additionally cater for their travel expenses, accommodation, visa application, insurance, and other personal expenses. Accommodation and shuttle services can be arranged upon request. Gravitazz Institute will also provide invitation letters for the trainings should it be necessary
