Prof. Dr. Einhard Schmidt-Kallert

@Technical University of Dortmund, Germany

Professor emeritus Einhard Schmidt-Kallert (born in 1949) has a track record of spatial planning experience both in development consultancy and in the academic sphere. As a consultant he was the responsible project director of numerous feasibility studies and implementation projects in the fields of regional development planning, urban management and natural resources management. He has worked in a number of African and Asian countries, but also in the transition countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. From 2005 to his retirement in 2014 he was the Head of the Department of Spatial Planning in Developing Countries at TU Dortmund University in Germany. Over the last few years, he held teaching assignments at University of Duhok (Iraq), the Institute of rural Development Planning in Dodoma (Tanzania), the University of the Philippines in Manila, and University Duisburg-Essen (Germany).

Dr. rer.pol. Mark Fleischhauer

@Institute for Spatial Planning (IRPUD), Technical University of Dortmund, Germany

Dr. Fleischhauer studied Geography at the University of Hannover and Spatial Planning at the University of Dortmund and graduated in 1997. He received his PhD in 2003. Since 1998, Dr. Fleischauer is employed at TU Dortmund University: as Research Associate from 1998-2003 at the Department of Regional and Urban Economics, Faculty of Spatial Planning, University of Dortmund, and since 2003, as Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Spatial Planning, TU Dortmund University (IRPUD). Dr. Fleischhauer authored several journal articles on methods of vulnerability scenarios, participatory assessment of multi-risks in urban regions of Latin America, risk management and other related topics.

Ms. Wiriya Puntub

M.Sc. PhD candidate @Institute for Spatial Planning (IRPUD), Technical University of Dortmund, Germany

Wiriya Puntub is a PhD candidate and research associates at the Faculty of Spatial Planning, TU Dortmund University. She is working on her thesis on the “Potential Impact Assessment of Climate-related Hazards on Urban Public Health Services: Interaction between Climate change and Urban Development change in the Future, Khon Kaen City, Thailand”. Her fields of work and research interests are spatial risk and climate impact research, climate-resilient upgrading, climate change adaptation in urban, regional planning, and public health infrastructures.
