South Asia regional consultation workshop on school and hospital earthquake safety

GeoHazards International (GHI) proposes to organize a 'South Asian Consultation Workshop on School and Hospital Safety' at the Claridges Hotel, New Delhi on the 24th and 25th of May, 2011 New Delhi as part of a regional partnership with the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction (GFDRR). The purpose of the workshop is to consult with key stakeholders in the field of School and Hospital Safety as a first step towards developing National action plans in these two important sectors in India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Nepal. We expect representatives from the above countries to participate in the workshop.

The Hon. Vice Chairman, NDMA Shri. M. Shasidhar Reddy will inaugurate the workshop on 24th May at 10:30 a.m.
