Coference overview 
The disaster management conference "Operationalising public private partnership" seeks to leverage the community level networks and implementation linkages for disaster management. This is through providing the corporate sector an opportunity to leverage the public strength to reduce the vulnerability to disasters with the integrated approach towards disaster management.

Main objectives
- Operationalising and engagement models of PPP for disaster management with a focus on business and community based PPP;
- To strengthen partnership models for public private partnership for disaster management;
- To nurture the ongoing partnerships for business continuity;
- Share experiences and challenges of PPP for disaster management.

Conference focus
This specialized conference has a focus on the operationalising of the PPP opportunity for disaster management. These partnerships will move towards meaningful partnership for effective, timely relevant interventions and engagement for preparedness, warnings, search and rescue operations, first aid, trauma, damage, values etc.

The conference will highlight the following:

- Techno financial regime for disaster management (insurance, microfinance, reinsurance) .
- Leveraging technology for disaster management (supply chains, GIS, telecommunications etc.).
- Business continuity preparedness and response.
- Employee and community integration for people oriented PPP.
- Corporate social responsibility interventions of various Industry verticals.
- Potential of the business sector in providing both emergency help and long term assistance at the time of natural disasters.
- Preparedness and coordinating response for disaster management, reduction and mitigation.
- Means and methods for establishing effective models of relief, rehabilitation, and preparedness, involving Industry, government,  organizations working on rescue and relief and stakeholders.
- Sharing Innovative Ideas and best practices and the importance of innovations in disaster management. 
- Networking knowledge on effective approaches, methods and tools for disaster risk management and mitigation.
- Promotion and facilitation of the sharing of information and knowledge about disasters through use of information communication technology, and meeting the relief needs arising from such a situation.
- Engaging media to create and manage linkages and synergies between the industry people, the government, and the humanitarian organizations to meet challenges of supply and demand during a disaster.
