Gulf coast resilient home building conference: Building strong for the future

The purpose of the Gulf Coast Resilient Home Building Conference (RHBC) is to help put communities along the Gulf Coast on a path toward greater resilience to natural disasters through the construction of strong homes that can withstand high winds and water. The conference will feature a combination of education sessions, a demonstration exhibit and product vendors. On March 20-21, there will be an entrance fee of $7.00 per person for the Home & Garden Show, which will also grant access to all aspects of the Resilient Home Building Conference.

At the Resilient Home Building Conference:

-See and learn about state-of-the-art resilient building materials and techniques currently in use or under development.
-Gain practical knowledge about applying resilient building materials and techniques to new, existing or damaged homes.
-Help people to make informed judgments about using resilient building materials and techniques within the framework of existing building codes.
-Help expand the use of resilient building materials and techniques on the Gulf Coast to increase the stock of strong homes and reduce future losses.
-Earn continuing education units for selected professionals on March 19.
