The European Seminar on Assessing & Managing Disaster Risks has been designed for Civil Protection and Disaster Management Experts to optimise the disaster management strategy by implementing a proper Disaster Risk Assessment and Risk Management. This event is organized by European Academy for Taxes, Economics & Law and will be held on 27th – 28th February 2012, in Berlin, Germany, with the following key objectives:

• Learn how to successfully identify, analyse and evaluate disaster risks.
• Get practical information on how risk assessment affects the disaster management preparation and planning.
• Optimise the methodology for National Risk Assessment.
• Be up-dated on current and coming EU initiatives.
• Become familiar with the instruments of International Disaster Risk Reduction.
• Gain knowledge on mapping disaster risks from space and on using geoinformation.

• Ministry of Security and Justice, The Netherlands
