DRR is an integral part of the first work stream, because DRR activities constitute the bulk of the measures included in National Adaptation Programmes of Action (NAPAs).

Rapid review of adaptation action

On the basis of positive feedback, we are commissioning a review of current adaptation efforts and identified needs and priorities from around the world that will synthesize lessons learned from past efforts, including by using information from National Communications and National Adaptation Programmes of Action, and suggest major cross-cutting priorities for near term action, especially with an eye to regional and sectoral synergies.

This information would be synthesized and made available as a resource to prospective partners and could inform regional consultations. The review will use available publications and nationally produced documents to ensure that work already undertaken on the issue is not duplicated, and will cover a set of priority sectors.
