Organizer(s) University of Bayreuth German Development Institute
Venue
COP 17, Levubu River (16:45—18:15)
Date

As the scientific coordination GLUES is responsible for communicating the goals and results of the ‘sustainable land management’ programme to decision-makers in policy and public, the team is contributing to a side-event at COP 17.

Responding to the session’s title “Adapting NRM in Africa: lessons learnt, ways forward and the sustainable land management programme”, the aim is to communicate how the “sustainable land management programme” can contribute to solving challenges such as climate change adaptation.

More specifically, the programme’s African examples (TFO and SuLaMa) will be introduced and their regional specific approaches to investigate the interactions of climate change, land management and ecosystem services will be shown.
