Blue Guide to coastal resilience launch

Organizer(s) Nature Conservancy, the Partnership for Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction
Date

Nature offers a range of solutions that can effectively address climate change and reduce the impacts of extreme weather events. Ecosystems, such as mangroves and reefs can offer protection from storms and coastal flooding, saving lives and livelihoods in coastal areas where many around the world live. The Nature Conservancy, Partnership for Ecosystem and Disaster Risk Reduction and Adaptation (PEDRR) and Friends of Ecosystem Based Adaptation (FEBA) are jointly hosting a webinar to launch The Blue Guide to Coastal Resilience in honor of World Wetlands Day.

The Blue Guide to Coastal Resilience produced by The Nature Conservancy, offers step-by-step guidance on how to integrate nature-based solutions into disaster risk reduction planning. The webinar to be held on February 2, 2021 at 9am US Eastern will bring together humanitarian and adaptation experts to discuss how nature based solutions are able to reduce impacts of disasters, adapt to climate change, and help people become resilient.
