Short course introduction

We have witnessed unprecedented devastation in human lives and property in recent years due to floods. South Asian and Southeast Asian nations have endured some of the most severe floods in recent memory, resulting in the displacement of thousands of people and the loss of hundreds of millions of dollars. These events are directly linked to shifts in climatic conditions, primarily driven by human activities.

Our course takes a comprehensive approach to address flood risk reduction strategies, offering a holistic perspective on flood risks and their mitigation. It presents a unique combination of theoretical insights and hands-on exercises that delve into international and local experiences in managing flood risks. Fees are inclusive of course materials (soft copy), cost of instructions and course certificate. For face-to-face training, fee is inclusive of morning and afternoon snacks and lunch during the course.
