Adaptation to affects of disaster being created by climate change in the southern coastal belt region of Bangladesh which is most vulnerable to natural disasters

The coastal southern region of Bangladesh is island type often affected by disaster like flood, cyclone, high tide, salinity, tidal bore etc. and is vulnerable to submerge in water in 30 to 50 years as water level rises in the se gradually year after year. These areas are highly neglected, very isolated and people are 3 times more under poverty line than other region of Bangladesh, people are constantly suffering from high contamination of salinity in the water for drinking and agriculture and most lands are fallen uncultivated due to higher level of salinity. In recent years, 3 devastating cyclones called SIDR in 2007, AILA in 2009 and MOHASIN in 2012 destroyed 90% dwelling houses of marginalized poor families which have not been built properly till this time, uprooted 85% trees, killed 78% livestock and killed thousand of people and thousands are crippling still as the aftermath of the cyclones. Almost 25 million people helplessly live in the southern coastal districts which communication facilities disrupting repeated to reach any notable support to victims. This inhuman condition make people more and more poor day by day, no livelihood support, education & health facilities are disrupting and salinity capturing southern region lands and making it impossible to live and survive by people living in this region. S, with highest priority people and region must be saved from the affects of climate change and havoc of natural disaster by government and international partners and allies

To save the lands and lives of people living in the southern region of Bangladesh from harmful affects of climate change and natural disaster by protecting the region with dams from submerging and salinity, promotion of livelihood, ensuring safe water and healthy sanitation, reconstruct communication, roads, institutions, infrastructure, ensure livelihood of marginalized and landless people and alleviate their poverty in sustainable manner, protect the southern coastal region by deep forestation.
