Sectoral summary of climate vulnerability and practice of risk management (IMPREX deliverable 2.1)

Source(s):  Improving Predictions and Management of Hydrological Extremes (Imprex)

This summary report (D2.1) highlights the specific climate vulnerabilities, sensitivities and risk management practices of the stakeholders involved in the IMPREX Work Packages 7-12. These work packages include:

  • Flood inundation prediction and risk assessments
  • Hydropower
  • Transport
  • Urban water
  • Agriculture and droughts
  • (transnational) Water economy

To help build the evidence base for improved prediction and communication of hydrological extremes, workshops and interviews were held with stakeholders and users. This document discusses background information and findings for each of the themes, with the evidence from the interviews providing the basis for this report.
