UNISDR transparency practice

This policy outlines the efforts of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) to transparency and accountability in its operations and in the delivery of its work programme, which is primarily to lead and coordinate the implementation and of the International Strategy for Disaster Reduction and the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction. It outlines key principles of the practice and goes on to describe the activities undertaken by UNISDR towards the achievement of these principles. These activities are in the main areas of: work planning, programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation and financial audit. The activities carried out are in line with the United Nations Transparency and Accountability Initiative (UNTAI).
