This document addresses land degradation and desertification (LDD), extreme weather events and rising sea levels as a challenges to security and survival. It presents: (i) the strategic orientations of French development cooperation in order to further the implementation of actions benefiting affected populations directly; (ii) the efforts undertaken, including budget commitments, the mobilization of French institutional actors, the role of French civil society and the support for decentralized cooperation; and (iii) France's 7 commitments.
