Management of flood risk

Source(s):  IC Bernitt

This flood risk management brief by IC Bennert consulting provides illustrative examples on quantification of mortality risk and material damage risk in a European dikering community of 7500 citizen. Subsequently, the author asserts, questions on risk reduction investment and evacuation efficiency become objective matters and relatively simple to manage. The brief concludes that management of flood risk is a matter of due diligence, stating 'if you know your environment, your values, your community, your protective structures and your organisation, you may identify and quantify your risks.'
