The report highlights good practice in building resilience to disasters and climate change impacts across the ASEAN, particularly at the community level, in urban areas and within the agricultural sector. It also provides examples of building resilience with a focus on safe schools, women's economic empowerment and elderly people. The case studies are drawn from projects in the Philippines, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
Each case study includes these elements:
- A section describing the situated practice of resilience by a community
- An overview of relevant good practice drawing from existing literature
- A conclusion that outlines key lessons and highlights ways the good practices can contribute to the AADMER Work Programme
- Recommendations for the scale-up of the good practice
