For the last twenty years, Euroconsult Andorra has studied natural hazards in Andorra and neighbouring Pyrenean regions. During that period EUROCONSULT ANDORRA has also advised the Andorran Government on geological hazards and for the last two years EC has started conducting consultancy abroad, mainly in Spain, Morocco and Peru. Thus, Euroconsult has drafted civil protection emergency plans for landslides and rock slides hazards, floods, avalanches, heavy snowfalls, earthquake hazards, industrial hazards and forest fire hazards.
A specific natural hazard technical support department has been set up at Euroconsult to counsel companies, governments and other bodies around the world that may feel the need, and we strongly believe our twenty-year old experience in that field can help them reduce hazards consequences.

Successful launch of El Forn Landslide early-warning system
In 2000, the technical team of Euroconsult Andorra was commissioned by the Govern d'Andorra to undertake a first zoning of the territory in relation to landslides hazard at 1:5000 scale. This study established a number of risk areas for which more detailed scale study would be beneficial. One such area is "Forn de Canillo" which was rated as a medium-high hazard zone due to the presence of large landslides.
