Mission

Work to ensure that disaster risk is our first priority for both national and local for the implementation of safer communities.

Disaster Reduction Goal

1.Education programs and training on disaster risk reduction in schools and the local communities.
2.Environmental campaign programs to mitigate climate change to reduce the risk of disasters in the local communities
3.Advocacy for the national government to invest in and maintain critical infrastructure that reduces risk,such as flood and drainage.

Policies and Programmes in DRR

1.Organizing training workshops for our volunteer teams on how to implement disaster prevention measures to the local communities.
2.Early warning to the local communities to prepared for impending disaster.
3.Strategies for evacuation and providing first aid.
4.Educating the rural communities in the flood-prone areas to change the traditional building practice{code} and build houses that can withstand the impact of flood waters.

Making disaster risk reduction a policy priority, institutional strengthening (HFA 1)

Our organization had formed a Community-Based Disaster Management{CBDM} in collaboration with the Local District Assembly,which we organized the communities against the effects of disasters.
Secondly,we had open communication centers to link the community to government agencies for any disaster events within the communities for immediate disaster recovery and relief operations

Education, information and public awareness (HFA 3)

Engage with the local district assemblies to manage and reduce urban risk through infrastructure upgrades and improvements for safer and resilient communities

Preparedness for effective response (HFA 5)

Communication centres to link the community to government agencies for any disaster events in the rural communities.

Making Cities Resilient Campaign Activities

We campaign for awareness-raising, promote participation, generate knowledge, and engage the national community towards a New Urban Agenda, promoting a Better Urban Future.
