- Assure sufficient level of water in rivers during summer and automn
- Store water in order to decrease level of flood in rivers during winter and spring
Decrease the losses in the areas located downstream the dams, specialy the Ile-de-France region

We usually do global studies on the scale of river seine catchment, regarding:
- History of flooding the Seine and tributaries
- Impact of the different levels of flood on goods built in flood prone areas
- Impact on the economie
- Impact on public infrastructures
- etc.
We develop a new mission since 2007 to decrease vulnerability to flood of the urban areas of Ile de FrancePart of this mission is to convince decision makers on the reality of the impact of a flood in Ile-de-France and integrate risk of flood in their town's development policyOther part of this mission is to help planners and architect to take into consideration risks of flood in the design of new urban quarters
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
