Orissa State Disaster Mitigation Authority (OSDMA)

Mission

OSDMA was set up by the government of Orissa as an autonomous organization for the interest of the people of Orissa. Its main objectives are to: act as the nodal agency for disaster reconstruction works; coordinate with the line departments involved in reconstruction; coordinate with bilateral and multi-lateral aid agencies; coordinate with UN agencies, international, national and state-level NGOs; promote disaster preparedness at all levels in the State, and; network with similar and relevant organizations for disaster management.
