The International Disaster and Risk Conferences (IDRC) form one of the three main pillars of the Foundation Global Risk Forum GRF Davos.
IDRC is a fantastic platform for leading experts from fields such as the natural, engineering and social sciences, politics, government, the private sector, civil society, international organizations, NGOs and other risk management professions to meet and exchange experience.
The first IDRC conference was successfully launched in 2006 in Davos Switzerland (IDRC Davos 2006).
The IDRC Conferences attempt to find answers and solutions to today's challenges in managing risk, reducing disasters and adapting to climate change. They allow to build stronger ties with adequate public-private partnership models among risk management communities and sectors, and to move towards a more truly integrated way of thinking about disasters and risks.
