MISSION: “EnvI” targets through its strategy in addressing environmental sustainability three programs: • “The Environmental Citizenship" Program, which promote environmental sustainability among communities, and social inclusion. • "Data Acquisition and Environmental Information Sharing” Program, in order to provide information for end users and decision makers, for effective decision making. • “Peace building for Induced and displaced people” program, which target affected people by climate change, building their resilience, and conflict resolution.
Now EnvI is a Coordinator and focal point for a new project on "Studying the Climate Change impacts and patterns on people induced and displaced by CC", with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). The study was implemented on two different hotspot areas and states in East and West Sudan.
At National level with “Sudan Workers Trade Unions Federation (SWTUF)”, and “Sudanese Network of Climate Change”. At Regional level, it is the focal point for “The Arab Network in Environment and Development (RAED), and “Africa Civil Societies Networks in Water and Sanitation (ANEW)”. At International level it is the focal point for "End Water Poverty - EWP" and "Sanitation and Water for All - SWA", and "Fresh Water Action Network - FAN". A founder member for “Global Network of Networks – GNON” in Environmental Information sharing.

As per the above mentioned project, a steering committee from all partners was established to revise the policy and institutional strengthening.
Knowledge and media sessions and interviews has been targeted and well disseminated. A quarterly bulletin is designed and published.
A frame work of action is being drafted to be implemented in terms of action programmes.
The Governmental Authorities are well determined in this area and impact of CC, with studying the full package for preparedness, effective response and mitigation.
EnvI is a member of The scientific committee which was declared according to the ministerial decree No. (2) for 2014, by the Minister of Environment, Forestry and Physical Development, for establishing a scientific committee to support Sudan / Africa desk and the UN negotiations on Climate Change. The comittee is representing by CSOs, Government, research and academia, and actors from oil and big industrial field.
An internal training workshop program has been conducted by UNEP for the negotiators on CC in May 2014 for 3 days as preliminary action.
The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments (SFVC) online platform allows stakeholders to inform the public about their work on DRR. The SFVC online platform is a useful toolto know who is doing what and where for the implementation of the Sendai Framework, which could foster potential collaboration among stakeholders. All stakeholders (private sector, civil society organizations, academia, media, local governments, etc.) working on DRR can submit their commitments and report on their progress and deliverables.
