Call for good practice case studies on the Strategic Approach to Capacity Development for Implementation of the Sendai Framework

Source(s):  United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction - Office in Incheon for Northeast Asia and Global Education and Training Institute for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR ONEA & GETI)

Do you have an example of what strategic and sustainable capacity development efforts for disaster risk reduction look like in action?

UNDRR is pleased to extend the call for good practice case studies that highlight the Strategic Approach principles and key anchors for its implementation in action, including South-South and triangular cooperation, until 15 March 2020.

The Strategic Approach to Capacity Development for Implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction is a resource of empowerment for all relevant capacity development partners and stakeholders, and its goal - A Vision of Risk-Informed Sustainable Development by 2030. It provides generalized advice on the capacity development roles and responsibilities of various DRR stakeholders, and high-level guidance in six critical areas of need. It is designed to be a living document to reflect changes in needs and trends over time, and its online space is envisaged to evolve to capture and share lessons learned, best practices, and examples.

Please find the submission guidance and template attached to submit by 15 March 2020 to this email.
