The UK’s new adaptation agenda

Jessica Furseth poses the question on the homepage of Green futures magazine whether the UK can prepare for a resilient future. She reports that the UK government is to collaborate with private partners and local governments on a new National Adaptation Programme that is expected to be launched in 2013.

According to the Climate Change Risk Assessment report, the UK will have to face increased risks of flood and temperatures will rise. Strengthening local economies, cooperation and building resilience against threats such as flooding are among the recommendations.
