Caltech receives $10 million to reduce the risks and costs of natural hazards

The California Institute of Technology will launch a new Terrestrial Hazard Observation and Reporting Center (THOR) to reduce the risks and costs associated with natural hazards and the effects of global climate change including among others; earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides, wildfires, and extreme weather events such as droughts.
