Research Associate at CRIMEDIM

This job opportunity refers to experienced researchers. The position includes conducting high quality research in the fields of disaster medicine, global health and/or humanitarian assistance. Position holders will be encouraged to conduct research with the aim of publishing it in peer-reviewed journals. In addition, the position includes supervision of PhD students and junior researchers and managerial and administrative work in the context of awarded EU-funded projects in the fields of public health interventions in emergencies, prehospital and hospital disaster management, and humanitarian assistance.

Job Requirements

• PhD degree or Master's degree in Public Health or Disaster Medicine/Management is desirable.

• Experience in disaster and humanitarian settings.

• Proven research and scientific writing skills, including publications in peer-reviewed journals.

• Social skills suitable for working in a team of researchers.

Research Center in Emergency and Disaster Medicine is a university-wide academic center that conducts research, education and training in the field of disaster medicine and humanitarian health. Located in Novara (Italy) within the University of Eastern Piedmont, CRIMEDIM has almost two decades of experience in increasing knowledge and skills of practitioners based on scientific evidence and vast field experience. CRIMEDIM is an official World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Training and Research in Emergency and Disaster Medicine. CRIMEDIM has ample experience and capacity in promoting and coordinating research projects in disaster education.
