The Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management (GIDM), in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority (GSDMA) & the Institute of Seismological research (ISR) is inviting applications for a 3 Month’s Executive Certificate Course in Disaster Risk Management (EC2DRM), starting from 17th May, 2021.

The course has been designed to foster “risk literacy” by opening up pathways to stimulate and accelerate discussions on developing capacities to take risk informed decisions at all levels and would be steered by renowned national and international faculties in the arena of Disaster Risk Management.

Course Fee

The course fee is INR 20,000.

This is inclusive of study materials, accommodation & meals at GIDM during Course Prima.

*Travel cost to and from GIDM would have to be borne by the participant.

Who can take the course

The applicant should be a graduate in any field, with an interest to contribute in the field of Disaster Risk Management (DRM). The applicant should also be able to attend the course, in-person, at GIDM for a period of 3 weeks.

  • Students of Master’s degree.
  • Research Scholars, Research Fellows.

Intake process and seats

The course has a maximum of 40 seats.

The in-take procedure would be as follows

  • Online submission of application form.
  • Shortlisting of candidates.
  • Online interview of the shortlisted candidates.
  • Declaration of results.
  • Confirmation of participation by the participants.
