International Conference on Risk-informed Sustainable Development in the Rural Tropics (RISD20)

The Conference is aimed at scholars, staff of local or international organizations and official development assistance committed to reducing the hydro-climatic risk locally.

We invite authors to submit abstracts or session proposals for the Risk-informed Sustainable Development in the Rural Tropics (RISD20) before March 9, 2020.

Abstracts and session proposals must be written in English and may only be submitted online here.

Abstract submissions (200 words) should link to one of the Conference sessions. Session proposals should link to the Conference topics.

Acknowledgment of submission will be sent to the e-mail address provided by the submitting author. Please make sure that a confirmation Email is received after making the submission. If this e-mail confirmation is not received, it means that the submission has not been processed.

The "Risk-informed Sustainable Development in the Rural Tropics" special issue of Sustainability - open access journal will publish the Conference papers.

Authors of an accepted abstract are invited to submit their manuscripts to Sustainability even before coming to the RISD Conference here.

Deadline for manuscript submissions is May 31, 2020

The Conference recognize Free Article Processing Charge (FAPC) for first 4 manuscripts accepted by Sustainability written by Africa-based scholars.
To use the bonus, Authors should obtain their manuscript accepted and ready for publication before April 6, 2020.

Two of the four bonuses (FAPC) are reserved for the publication of manuscripts in which the first author is a woman.
