This symposium will promote learning from new advanced cases of finance scheme for a nature-based resilient society. The event will be hosted by National Institutes for the Humanities 'Research Institute for Humanity and Nature', co-hosted by MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, Inc., National Institutes for the Humanities Research Project 'Change of Local Communities and Reconstruction of Community Cultures after Disasters in Japanese Archipelago', and supported by UNEP FI, Future Earth Japan Hub.

The program includes a diverse range of speakers, with opening comments from Takehito Yoshida Associate Professor at the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature, University of Tokyo. Two case studies will follow, on ‘Coral Reef Insurance’ and ‘Forest Resilience Bond’. Closing comments from Shiro Fujii, Executive Vice President and CFO of MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, Inc, will bring the day to an end.
