Organizer(s) United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction - Regional Office for Africa
Date

Policy coherence is instrumental to address vulnerability and resilience holistically. Bearing in mind the complexities inherent to these processes, systems thinking have been recognized as an approach to enhance the exchange of knowledge and tools and optimize resources for sustainable development (UNESCAP, 2018).To this end, UNDRR is organising a multi-country workshop in collaboration with other UN agencies and relevant stakeholders working on the implementation of the Sendai Framework, Paris Agreement and 2030 Agenda. This workshop will be the opportunity to bring together Member States from the sub-Saharan Africa region to discuss and share their experiences on ways to ensure coherence of CCA and DRR within the milieu of the SDGs, national and regional levels.
