8th International Conference on Seismology and Earthquake Engineering (SEE8)
Following the success of the previous seven International Conferences of Seismology and Earthquake Engineering (SEE) in Tehran, the SEE8 will be organized under the auspices of the International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology (IIEES) in November 2019, during the anniversary of Sarpol-e Zahab, the Iran earthquake of 2017.
With the theme of "Science-Based Sustainable Development in Earthquake Prone Countries", SEE8 provides policy initiatives to improve resiliency and a unique opportunity for academia, professionals, experts, local governments, insurance agencies, private sector stakeholders, and social science practitioners to exchange and share the latest advances in earthquakes, risk management, building and geotechnical science. SEE8 also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of earthquake engineering, seismology, and disaster risk management.
