It is our distinct pleasure to invite you to the First International High Level Conference & Exhibition (IHLC2020) on the theme, “The Space Options for Africa: Knowledge Sharing, Partnerships, Exploitation, Space Solutions, Technologies Development, Disaster Risk Reduction and Integration”. It will be held on the 25-26 February, 2020, at the United Nations Conference Center, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The conference will support the African Union Agenda 2063 for "An Integrated, Prosperous, and Peaceful Africa, driven by its own citizens and representing a dynamic force in the international arena", in line with the UNISPACE+50 strategies towards Space2030.

Hundreds of government representatives, space agencies, Permanent Observers at UNOOSA, United Nations entities, the private sector, civil society, academia, researchers, EO, cosmonauts, inventors, scientists, astronauts, social enterprises, astronomers, professors, engineers, business stakeholders, governmental organizations, and professional leaders, scientific educational institutions, and more than 87 space agencies are expected to participate and exhibit their new technologies. Key technologies in support of UNISPACE+50 strategies for Space2030 and for the Africa Agenda 2063 will be presented with several exhibitions and side events to showcase the African Union's Agenda 2063, which “seeks to deliver on a common and shared set of 7 aspirations”. There will also be an exhibition on the LIONSAT-1 Project, expected to launch in 2022.

In line with the UNISPACE+50 strategies for Space2030, the conference shall discuss, debate and make recommendations for the African Union Agenda 2063. It will provide both theoretical and practical space options and solutions for the international community to consider the future course of global space cooperation for the benefit of mankind and moonkind, non-academia, civil society, students, and the private sector and industry. Exhibitors are invited to showcase and present innovative and scalable inventions and products in line with any of the subthemes, main theme or ongoing projects and programs.

This event will also provide international students/participants an outlet to interact with their own team experts. Please confirm your participation by registering for the conference at the earliest opportunity. The High Level Conference aims to engage the broader space community in considering current and future space-related issues in support of the African Union Agenda 2063. A full list of speakers shall be communicated accordingly and also available on our conference website and other support partners and sponsors of the conference website.

Space pioneers, rapidly increasing space actors and inventors, stakeholders in space, and a wider space industry development would be at the forefront of this event, and together Africa would become the Africa we want: prosperous, integrated and peaceful. The benefits of the space-inclusion program will mobilize young talent and students to specialize in front-end development in software developers to be able to initiate their own space programs domiciliary.

We look forward to your active contribution and to welcoming you to share your useful knowledge and experiences at the event.
