This conference aims to engage youth in addressing the impacts of global climate change and extreme weather events. Hosted in Barisal, a disaster-prone coastal area in Bangladesh, the conference provides an opportunity for youth to share their experiences of climate change impacts, vulnerabilities and discuss future actions to address these challenges.

This conference will help to build the capacity of youth networks and other stakeholders on climate change issues. It is also an opportunity to advocate with policy leaders and key stakeholders. In addition to youth engagement, key themes include the following:

• Saline water intrusion;
• Drainage congestion;
• Extreme events;
• Changes in coastal morphology.

Target Audience

This conference is designed for students and youth with opportunties for policy makers, government, and non-governmental organizations.
