The Engineers Association and Disaster Risk Reduction Centre/ Earth Sciences and Seismic Engineering Centre at An-Najah National University cordially invites you to attend and participate in a workshop on: Seismic Risk Mitigation in Palestine - Which will include a rapid training course:

“Seismic Design in 100 minutes”

The workshop will review the minimum requirements of buildings in order to be resistant to earthquakes. This forms part of the Seismic Risk Mitigation in Palestine Project (SASPARM-FP7) and the action plan of the Engineers Association, relating to the adoption of seismic design of buildings in Palestine.

The other workshop in the Middle of the West Bank in Ramallah will be set in the last week of September.(23/09/2014)
Key local partners for the Seismic Risk Mitigation and Disaster Risk Reduction activities are:

1. Ministry of Public Work and Housing.
2. Ministry of Local Government.
3. Ministry of Education.
4. Ministry of Planning.
5. Engineers Association.
6. General Directorate of Civil Defense.
7. National Commission for Disaster Risk Reduction.
