Save the Children International – DPR Korea Programme, locally known as European Union Programme Support (EUPS) Unit 2, is seeking the services of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) specialist/consultant for Flood Risk Reduction Project (FRRP) in South Hamgyong Province, DPR Korea.

The DRR Specialist will be required to provide technical support for the training component of the project by conducting the assessment of the existing disaster risk management practices and assessing the applicability of the child focused DRR concept; by conducting the training needs assessment, developing the training plan and implementation in coordination with local Red Cross and local partners.

It requires the services of the consultant to work for the total of 6 months with 2 visits per year for the duration of 3 months. Consultant should have relevant post-graduate degree with extensive experience in DRR; work experience with international NGOs implementing DRR project; experience working with children in the implementation of DRR activities; ability to adopt to the local condition and ability to work with diverse stakeholders including local partners and a commitment to the mission, vision and values of Save the Children.
